Under Armour cuts 400 jobs simply because it streamlines

BALTIMORE – Under Armour will cut about 400 jobs, an important part of a restructuring that your sports gear maker announced trapped on tape.

The Baltimore company actually began a streamlining recently after explosive sales growth tailed off. That cooling was gone through Nike too, with active lifestyle brands like Lululemon luring more consumer dollars while those selling gear for organized sports lost some momentum.
