Turnover increase in sight as Yorks dental group embarks on expansion drive

ASR Dental is building a new private clinic in Huddersfield, and it has added two Yorkshire Smiles surgeries in Leeds and Barnsley for their portfolio.

Supported by Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, the development drive is predicted to produce more jobs and improve the group’s turnover by 25%.

The company has acquired NHS dental group Yorkshire Smiles, which includes two practices on York Road in Leeds, and Victoria Road, Barnsley. It’s looking to hire 10 new employees across both sites. The Barnsley site will likely be its first clinic in South Yorkshire.

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking supported the expansion by using a multi-million-pound loan.

Altaf Hussain, Director at ASR Dental, said: “Our latest growth drive, including our first new-build surgery, is a huge milestone for that group.

“We’ve steadily acquired practices around Yorkshire since we began in 2004, and get ambitions to, ultimately, run practices all over the North of England.

“But, it’s vital to us which every of the practices are run independently to assist us supply a personal service in order to build lasting relationships with our clients.

“Lloyds Bank has become a terrific partner because of this expansion, which consists of specialist healthcare team demonstrating a thorough understanding of our needs and ambitions for your group.”

Malcolm Swan, senior healthcare banking consultant at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “We’re focused on helping Britain prosper by supporting businesses like ASR Dental to progress their provision of quality healthcare services.

“Since 2011, we’ve grown our net lending to SMEs by 31 % although the market has contracted by 11%.”
