Elland-based power engineering contractor Smith Brothers is appointed by flat glass manufacturer Saint-Gobain Glass to attach its East Riding industrial site into the Northern Powergrid.
Saint-Gobain Glass is a principal supplier of coated glass worldwide, using its UK base in Eggborough, Goole.With the manufacturer currently supplied with a private-wire network, high voltage specialist Smith Brothers has long been enlisted to get in touch it for the local distribution network with a turnkey scheme of works. Serving as the Independent Connection Provider (ICP), Smith Brothers will be in charge of all required electrical and civils elements, from initial design by means of final commissioning.
