Startup businesses inside East Midlands need to be due to the chance to pitch for funding and support to assist them to reach their potential and grow.
Two entrepreneurs in Lincoln are launching Featured; a brand new investment and growth incubator that’s created to take startup businesses to the next level through investment, marketing support, business advice and coaching.
Featured?would be the latest project from entrepreneurs Peter Watson and Bradley McKenny who both founded online marketing agency, Distract while they were at university. Within just 36 months of launching, they’ve helped Distract become among the East Midlands’ largest marketing agencies and today the bride and groom are searhing for other businesses they could guide toward success.
Peter Watson says that Featured is often a way they can give aspirational business leaders the support they should get off the garden soil or scale up: “We’re on the lookout for innovators and disruptors who’ve recommended, the latest product or an amazing expertise who would like to build up a business that could flourish.
“We’re inviting entrepreneurs to get in touch to pitch their businesses and, once they impress us, we’ll get a stake and provides them assistance they should obtain their business growing. It’s kind of like Dragons Den although not as scary, but it could possibly be far more transformative.”
As well as creating a investment decision in successful businesses, Featured may give entrepreneurs entry to expert business advice along with Distract’s team of marketers who will help companies stand out through branding, web page design and advertising. Bradley McKenny says that the investments they’re hopeful of making could provide a business the boost it must plunge into a place: “For numerous startups or businesses on the verge of launching, may be their big break.
“When Peter we started Distract, we’d both made money from smaller businesses which gave us the main town we needed to produce digital marketing agency we’d always wanted to start. We were very lucky to experience that will there we were and in a fortunate position when we finally were launching the business because there we were at university and that we didn’t need a lot to live on.
