Hull’s William Jackson Food Group, who earlier this month sold its Aunt Bessie’s brand, has acquired fine ingredients supplier Wellocks.
Wellocks employs around 470 people nationwide and supplies great chefs up with good quality ingredients and provide. Customers include many Michelin-star restaurants and high-profile sporting venues.
“We’ve been looking to enter the fast-growing premium segment with the foodservice channel and believe Wellocks, which includes itself enjoyed recent growth, actually exciting likelihood of the near future using its great customers and really innovative suppliers,” said William Jackson Food Group CEO Norman Soutar.
“The Group remains very aimed at possessing a portfolio of great food businesses which is a vital acquisition for folks, replacing the Wigan salad processing business we sold to Agrial last year.”
