Tearful Graham mourns McCain in Senate eulogy

WASHINGTON – John McCain’s colleague Lindsey Graham mixed laughter and tears around the Senate floor Tuesday while he remembered “Operation Maverick,” that they described as lessons in picking “what’s right pictures own expense.”

“He educated me in that honor and imperfection are invariably competing,” Sen. Graham said, reading coming from a handwritten outline near to McCain’s empty desk, now topped with roses. “I never cry for that perfect man. I cry for a man who had honor and constantly was prepared to admit to his imperfection.”
